Xtreme Oilfield Technology Ltd. (Xtreme) was incorporated in December 2000 and was initially based in Bonnyville, Alberta. Starting with a small fleet of units, our initial emphasis at Xtreme was to specialize in vacuum and pressure operations. Xtreme provided general and specialized tank desanding, tank cleaning (door pulls), fluid transfers, well loads and rig work to northern Alberta.
Seeing an opportunity to provide better service to our customers, Xtreme designed a lightweight trailer unit. Our tri-drive tractor trailer units provide additional traction, working well on new or soft leases. A 30% payload increase also reduces the overall tank cleaning costs for oil companies.
Starting in 2003 we also expanded the fleet to include body vac units, flushby units, combinations units(vacuum/steamer), water trucks and hydro vac units.
In 2005, Xtreme ventured into coil tubing units, adding the first tandem steer tri-drive coil tubing unit with a fully enclosed operator control cab. Xtreme Tubing now offers a fleet of modern operator friendly coil tubing units.
Xtreme continued to grow and in 2007, we opened an office in Whitecourt, Alberta. This office serves the western and northwestern part of Alberta with top quality exploration related vacuum trucks ( trailer / body jobs), water trucks and combination units. We also offer equipment rentals with a new fleet of 400 BBL tanks, High Wall shale tanks mud pumps and many other pieces out of the Whitecourt area.
Also in 2007 we expanded our maintenance shop in St. Paul to ensure timely equipment maintenance and maximize equipment uptime. During that time frame we also implemented a plan to work with equipment suppliers to begin the process of manufacturing our own units in house.
In 2009, we added a fleet of compressor units with the addition of Xtreme Air Ltd. Xtreme Air focuses on pipeline testing and well servicing. Xtreme Air also offers well blow down and stable foam injection services.
In 2014 we opened our new head office in St. Paul. The new facility has a training centre where we are able to hold safety courses for our employees. We use both in house trainers and third party safety trainers to meet or exceed the industry training standards for our employees.
While the technology and advancements in the oil and gas industry may be continually changing, after over 18 years in the field serving across 3 provinces, we have realized the foundation of a dependable oilfield services company hasn’t changed – an exceptional team environment, hard work, and community involvement are 3 “musts” for any successful oilfield services company who’s in it for the long-haul.
A modern fleet of units located in Bonnyville, St. Paul, Wabasca, Whitecourt, and expanding to Grande Prairie this fall, allow us to serve the drilling, production and well servicing industries with specialized units as a convenient one stop shop for oil and gas companies.
We continue to be locally owned and operated, as well as a private company, which allows us to continue our commitment to employees, technology and innovation.
